HGV Body Builder and Repairer. Full time Permanent 37.5 Hrs Weekly. Wages 42,000.00 Yearly

Job Responsibilities- Build and fit bodies for HGVs and trailers, installing parts such as tail lifts, toolboxes, and load restraints. Inspect vehicles for damage, remove and replace panels, and repair frameworks using welding, cutting, and shaping. Fabricate parts when needed and prepare surfaces for painting or coating. Carry out routine checks to spot wear, rust, or defects and perform preventive repairs. Make sure all work is safe, roadworthy, and recorded properly. Work with fleet managers to plan jobs, order materials, and reduce downtime.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required - Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in HGV/commercial vehicle body building, repair, and modification. •Strong welding, fabrication, and hydraulic fitting skills, with proven ability to adapt bodywork for bespoke fleet equipment. •Previous experience maintaining or modifying construction or concrete fleet vehicles will be considered an advantage. •The candidate must be able to demonstrate technical competence with references, trade certifications, or industry-recognised qualifications.
